Red Rock Country Club
The Summit
TPC Vegas
Reflection Bay
Las Vegas has never been particularly interested in doing anything modestly. Golf is no exception.
You can play against the Red Rock mountains, disappear into a private club behind guarded gates, spend an afternoon on a PGA TOUR course, or pay an irresponsible amount of money to discover that a beautiful fairway has done absolutely nothing to fix your slice.
But if you’re moving to Las Vegas, golf becomes a little more interesting than deciding where to play Saturday morning.
Some of our best courses are woven directly into residential communities. Some memberships are available whether you live behind the gates or not. Some clubs are considerably more exclusive. And then there are excellent public courses where the only commitment required is finding a tee time.
So this isn’t a ranking. I’m not interested in declaring Course No. 7 objectively superior to Course No. 8. Think of this instead as a guide to golf in Las Vegas and Henderson: what you’re playing, where it is, what it costs and, when applicable, what it’s like to live around it.
And yes, before somebody emails me about Shadow Creek: we’re keeping the boundaries tight. Las Vegas and Henderson. Not North Las Vegas. Not Boulder City. Not Mesquite. Not something we’re calling “Vegas” because you can technically get there before lunch.
Golf rates and private-club membership fees change frequently and may vary by season, residency, membership category, tee time and availability. All pricing in this guide reflects the most recent publicly available information I could verify at the time of publication in October 2026. Where a private club doesn’t publish current membership pricing, I’ve said so rather than filling the gap with an old number from the internet. Always confirm current rates directly with the course or club before making a decision.
Private | Members Only | Tom Fazio
The Summit isn’t really a golf course with houses around it. It’s a private residential lifestyle club community with golf built into its DNA.
The 18-hole Tom Fazio course winds through the desert at the western edge of Summerlin with Red Rock on one side and the Las Vegas Valley stretching out on the other. Summit also has extensive practice facilities, on-course comfort stations and a Golf House, while the larger club experience includes a massive clubhouse, fitness and wellness programming, tennis, pickleball, dining, children’s programming and Outdoor Pursuits.
Membership: This isn’t a conventional “call the membership director and ask what initiation costs” proposition. Summit describes itself as Las Vegas’s only private residential lifestyle club community, and current membership pricing isn’t publicly advertised.
Historically, club membership was sold separately from the real estate, but because membership rights and transferability can be specific to the property and transaction, this is one where I’d verify the membership status of an individual residence before buying rather than assuming a home automatically includes golf membership.
Living here: And this is where golf and real estate become inseparable. The Summit consists of custom homesites and developer residences integrated around the club and course. If you’re shopping here and golf matters to you, the membership attached or available to a particular property is part of the due diligence—not an afterthought.
Private | Membership by Inquiry
Southern Highlands is one of those clubs that feels removed from Las Vegas despite being very much in it. The golf club anchors the estate section of Southern Highlands, with large custom residences, mature landscaping and a much more established atmosphere than many of the valley’s newer luxury communities.
This is a private club, and current golf initiation fees and dues are not publicly posted by the club. I wouldn’t substitute old internet figures for current membership terms, so prospective members should inquire directly.
Living here: For someone who wants golf, privacy and substantial custom-home lots without being in Summerlin or Henderson, Southern Highlands deserves serious consideration.
Private Mountain Course + Public Arroyo Course
Red Rock is one of the easiest places to understand why golf-community living works so well in Summerlin. You’ve got the Red Rock foothills immediately behind you, two golf experiences, guard-gated residential neighborhoods and the rest of Summerlin minutes away.
And there is an important distinction here:
The Mountain Course is private. Arroyo is public.
As of 2026, Red Rock publishes a $65,000 initiation fee and $1,225 monthly dues, plus a $175 monthly food minimum.
Full Golf members pay no green fees and receive 14-day advance tee-time privileges on both the private Mountain Course and public Arroyo Golf Course.
But this membership goes considerably beyond golf. It includes the Sports Clubhouse, fitness center and group fitness classes, nine tennis courts, four pickleball courts, three swimming pools, Red Rock Spa and Tot Stop childcare. Members also have private restaurant access to Oasis Grill, Palmer Lounge and Pool Side Cabana Grill, plus the club’s social calendar.
Red Rock also currently offers other membership categories, including Executive Golf, Junior Golf, Sports, Tennis/Pickleball and Social memberships.
You can.
Arroyo is open to public play, with dynamic green fees that vary by season and tee time. That’s an important distinction for someone buying in Red Rock who likes golf but doesn’t necessarily need a full private-club membership.
Living here: Red Rock Country Club is one of the valley’s more recognizable examples of a true golf residential community, with custom and production luxury homes, golf frontage, mountain views and guard-gated security.
Private | PGA TOUR Club
Do not confuse this with TPC Las Vegas. We’ll get to that one shortly.
TPC Summerlin is the private one.
The Bobby Weed-designed, Fuzzy Zoeller-consulted course is a par-72 PGA TOUR layout and home of the Shriners Children’s Open. The club also has a 12-acre practice facility and a full lifestyle component.
Golf members get access to TPC Passport, extending privileges across the TPC network. Benefits include cart-fee-only play at participating properties up to six times annually and discounts of up to 50% on posted green fees at participating resort and daily-fee properties.
TPC Summerlin offers Personal, Corporate, Young Professional and Social membership options and operates as a non-equity club, meaning members aren’t assessed for capital improvements to the golf course or clubhouse.
Membership pricing: Current golf initiation fees and dues are by inquiry. TPC’s current membership-pricing page does not publish the dollar amounts.
Living nearby: TPC Summerlin sits in the heart of established Summerlin, which makes this different from a club where membership and residence are tied together. You can belong to TPC without needing to buy a particular house on the course.
Private | Henderson
This is where Henderson golf and luxury real estate really collide.
DragonRidge sits within MacDonald Highlands, climbing through the foothills above the valley with dramatic elevation changes and some fairly spectacular city views.
Membership: DragonRidge currently requires prospective members to inquire directly for membership availability and terms rather than publishing current golf initiation and dues online.
Living here: MacDonald Highlands is one of Henderson’s signature luxury communities, with custom estates, contemporary architecture and elevated Strip views. For buyers considering the community, DragonRidge isn’t merely nearby—it is a major part of the lifestyle proposition.
Private | Hale Irwin & Keith Foster
Anthem’s par-72 championship course stretches to 7,373 yards and incorporates elevation changes, waterfalls, six lakes and canyon terrain.
And here’s an important relocation detail: you don’t have to live inside Anthem Country Club to become a member. Golf membership is available to residents and non-residents.
The broader club includes six tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a multi-sport court, fitness center, group fitness, resort-style swimming, multiple dining venues and social programming. Anthem also offers a National Golf membership for qualifying non-residents, currently including 24 rounds annually.
Membership pricing: Current golf initiation and dues are available directly from the club rather than publicly posted.
Living here: Anthem Country Club itself is guard-gated and established, with everything from smaller residences to substantial custom homes. It’s particularly compelling for somebody who wants a country-club environment in Henderson rather than merely proximity to a golf course.
Private | 27 Holes
Spanish Trail is old-school Vegas country-club living in the best sense: mature landscaping, guard gates and an established residential community in a central location.
The club offers Full Golf, National and Social memberships. Current pricing is by inquiry.
Living here: Spanish Trail’s location is part of its appeal. You’re much more centrally positioned than you would be in the far western or southern edges of the valley, while still getting a private club and gated residential environment.
Private | Membership Required
Canyon Gate is another established west-side golf community, close to Summerlin without actually being Summerlin.
Current golf membership pricing is by inquiry, with multiple golf-access categories. Canyon Gate does publicly list its Social membership at $250/month and Racquet Sports at $295/month, both with a $10 enrollment fee. Golf memberships add access to the practice facilities and broader club amenities including fitness, racquets, pool, dining and social events.
Living here: Guard-gated, mature and centrally located. This is one I’d show a buyer who wants the country-club environment but doesn’t necessarily want the price point—or architecture—of the newest luxury communities.
Private
This one has something the new clubs can’t manufacture: history.
The Las Vegas Country Club sits right in the middle of town, minutes from the Strip, and offers Full Golf, Young Executive, National Golf, Corporate Golf, Sport & Social and Clubhouse memberships.
Full Golf includes unlimited golf and practice-facility access along with tennis, pickleball, fitness, lap pool, dining and member events. The National Golf category includes 30 rounds annually for qualifying non-resident members.
Membership pricing: Current golf initiation and monthly dues are available by inquiry.
This is a very different proposition from Summit or Southern Highlands, and that’s precisely why it belongs in the guide.
Private
Lake Las Vegas counts. It’s Henderson.
SouthShore gives us another distinctly different private-club experience: golf integrated into the resort-like Lake Las Vegas environment rather than the desert-modern atmosphere of west Summerlin or MacDonald Highlands.
Membership pricing: Current membership pricing should be confirmed directly with the club.
Living here: This one is as much about the Lake Las Vegas lifestyle as golf—water, resort amenities, gated communities and a completely different visual environment from most of the valley.
Public | Daily Fee
And now we get to the other TPC.
TPC Las Vegas gives you the PGA TOUR-style desert-golf experience without joining a private club.
The most recently published TPC offer lists Nevada-resident rates starting at $119 and non-resident rates starting at $159, including golf, cart, tax, warm-up balls and GPS. Pricing is dynamic.
Nevada resident: from $119
Non-resident: from $159
If someone tells you they’re playing “TPC” while visiting Vegas, this is probably the one they mean. TPC Summerlin is private.
Resort / Public Access
Yes, I’m including one Strip course.
Wynn is less “I need somewhere to play every Saturday” and more Las Vegas experience. It’s the sort of golf round somebody books because they’re in Vegas and want the spectacle along with the golf.
Rates and access can change and are tied closely to resort booking availability, so I’d direct readers to Wynn’s current booking system rather than freeze a potentially stale number into an evergreen article.
Public | Henderson
Reflection Bay gives Lake Las Vegas a public-access counterpart to private SouthShore.
The club offers separate non-resident, Clark County resident and member tee times. Clark County residents receive special rates and can currently reserve seven days in advance with qualifying local identification.
Rates are dynamic, so check the live tee sheet for the current day’s price.
If you live at Lake Las Vegas and don’t want private-club membership, this is an important option.
Public | Lexington + Concord
Two championship courses and some tremendous elevation.
Revere is particularly relevant to people living in the Anthem/Sun City Anthem area and gives Henderson residents access to serious golf without a private-club initiation fee.
Rates vary by season, tee time and residency. Revere also offers annual-pass programs. For context, its published 2026 Clark County five-day annual pass was $7,750 individual / $12,250 couple, while the Sun City version was $6,600 individual / $10,500 couple; the 2026 programs are sold out.
Public
Siena is an excellent example of a residential golf community that doesn’t require the traditional private-club model.
The course offers public play, Clark County resident rates, a Player Card and annual membership options for golfers who want unlimited golf without a conventional country-club initiation.
That makes Siena particularly interesting for somebody who wants to live around golf and play constantly without necessarily wanting the private-club lifestyle.
Public | Mountain + Palm + Cloud 9
Angel Park gives you options: two 18-hole courses plus the shorter Cloud 9 experience.
Rates are dynamic, but recent resident tee sheets have shown Nevada-resident pricing around $80–$95 for Mountain and roughly $80–$90 for Palm, depending on tee time and prepayment.
It’s also conveniently located near Summerlin, Boca Park and Tivoli Village, which makes it an easy regular-play option for west-side residents.
Public
Rhodes Ranch combines public golf with a guard-gated residential community in the southwest.
This is another useful distinction for relocation buyers: living on or around a golf course does not automatically mean joining a private country club.
Rates are dynamic and should be checked against the current tee sheet.
Public
Chimera sits within Tuscany Village in Henderson and gives us another public-course/residential-community combination.
Clark County residents receive special rates with qualifying proof of residency.
Frequent players should know about its annual memberships too. Chimera currently lists its Pegasus seven-day annual membership at $6,500 individual or $10,000 family, including unlimited green and cart fees and practice-facility access. Its weekday membership is $5,500 individual or $8,000 family.
That’s worth doing the math on if you play a lot.
Public
Wildhorse is one of Henderson’s more accessible local options and offers preferential booking windows depending on residency: Henderson residents can currently book 14 days ahead, Clark County residents seven days and non-residents 90 days.
Green fees vary, so the club currently directs players to its live booking system for current pricing.
Public
Another one with history, and conveniently located for somebody who doesn’t want to drive to the edge of the valley every time they play.
The current Fall 2026/Winter 2027 schedule lists non-resident rounds at $179 before noon and $139 after noon, while Clark County residents pay $79 before noon and $69 afterward.
Clark County resident: $69–$79
Non-resident: $139–$179
That local discount is not insignificant.
Public
This is one of the better examples of how wide the price spectrum is in Las Vegas golf.
Current prime-time rates are $45 weekday/$53 weekend for Clark County residents, versus $88 weekday/$99 weekend for non-residents. Twilight drops as low as $36 for residents.
Not every round of Vegas golf needs to cost $200.
Public
Stallion Mountain is another established east-side option and part of a residential golf community.
Current rates are dynamically priced, so this is another course where I’d send readers to the live tee sheet rather than publish an artificial fixed rate.
Public
Painted Desert is a Jay Morrish design and another golf-centered residential community within Las Vegas proper.
Public rates fluctuate by tee time and season; current published golf-event pricing gives a sense of the roughly $100 neighborhood, but for normal play I’d use the course’s live tee sheet rather than treating tournament pricing as a green fee.
Public
Desert Pines is intentionally styled differently from the typical wide-open desert course, with a more tree-lined visual character.
Pricing is dynamic, so current tee-time rates should be confirmed when booking.
Public / Community Golf
Palm Valley is part of the Sun City Summerlin golf ecosystem and is particularly relevant to the 55+ relocation conversation.
Rather than treating it as destination golf, I’d think of this—and the other Sun City courses—as lifestyle infrastructure. If you’re considering Sun City Summerlin, golf isn’t something you have to drive across town to find.
Public / Community Golf
Highland Falls gives Sun City Summerlin another full-length option, with elevated terrain and broad valley views.
Again, this is one where the residential connection matters as much as the individual round.
Public / Community Golf
Eagle Crest is the shorter executive-style sibling of Palm Valley and Highland Falls.
For the right buyer, that’s not a negative. Someone who wants regular golf without committing four-plus hours every time may actually prefer it.
Public / Executive Golf
Desert Willow serves the Sun City MacDonald Ranch area and belongs in this guide for the same reason Eagle Crest does: not everybody wants championship-length golf every time they pick up a club.
For somebody relocating into an active-adult community, having approachable golf essentially in the neighborhood can matter considerably more than living 30 minutes from a famous course.
Public / Municipal
Durango Hills rounds out the list with a more accessible municipal option in northwest Las Vegas.
It’s not trying to compete with Summit—and it doesn’t need to. That’s actually part of the point of this guide. Las Vegas golf ranges from private residential clubs with membership structures tied closely to the luxury lifestyle all the way down to affordable local golf you can decide to play on a Tuesday morning.
And there should be room for both.
This is where my real-estate answer becomes slightly annoying: it depends on what you mean by “golf matters.”
If what you want is golf integrated into an ultra-private luxury lifestyle, The Summit, Southern Highlands and MacDonald Highlands/DragonRidge belong in that conversation.
If you want a more traditional country-club community, look closely at Red Rock Country Club, Anthem Country Club, Spanish Trail and Canyon Gate.
If you want excellent access to golf without necessarily tying yourself to a private membership, Summerlin gives you an enormous concentration of options—TPC Las Vegas, Angel Park, Siena, Arroyo and the Sun City courses, in addition to its private clubs.
Henderson has its own ecosystem: DragonRidge, Anthem, Revere, Chimera, Wildhorse, Desert Willow and the Lake Las Vegas courses.
And sometimes the smartest answer is not to live on a golf course at all.
Buy the house you love, join the club you love and keep the two decisions separate.
Because golf communities are wonderful—right up until you realize you chose your house based on a course you play twice a month.
A golf membership and a home purchase are not always the same transaction. Club memberships can be separate from real-estate ownership, subject to availability, invitation, approval, transfer restrictions or additional fees. Before buying a property because of its relationship to a particular club, verify exactly what membership rights, if any, are associated with that specific property.
That’s especially important at the very top end of this market.
Golf can absolutely help determine where you live in Las Vegas. It just probably shouldn’t be the only thing that does.
